“For thousands of years, earth, fire, and water were used to create beautiful and functional pottery vessels to enrich our lives. I am always humbled knowing that the earth continues to supply this natural resource and give me an opportunity to turn it into a cherished work of art.”
Lori Martone creates functional stoneware pottery in her Hampton, New Hampshire studio.
Each piece of pottery is individually handcrafted, glazed, and fired.
“I simply love designing pieces that may live with you for years to come.”

Signed with an "L"

You’ll find a diversity of original pieces in my gallery. I love to be innovative, challenge the unknown and create distinctive pieces that you wouldn’t normally find. When you select a piece of Lori Martone pottery, know that you own an original that was created with thoughtfulness and reflection. Look for my signature L on each piece.

Peace of mind

Each piece is ergonomically designed, and perfectly suitable for daily use. Variations in color, size and minor imperfections are part of the normal hand finished and craft nature of each artistic piece.

All pottery is lead free, fired at 2200 degrees ensuring function reliability. You can use in a dishwasher, microwave and oven. Uneven heat, like a stovetop, is not safe.

Pots

Mostly ‘thrown’ on a potter’s wheel, I create serving and dinner plates, platters, chip and dip sets, coffee mugs, tea cups, cereal bowls, foodie bowls, tiny bowls, nesting condiment bowls, serving bowls, tall vases, fat vases, tiny vases, shot glasses, wide and skinny planters, garlic keepers, soap dishes, wine or water coasters, wine chillers, pet bowls, candle holders, and of course, more! On a slab roller, I design an assortment of hanging plaques with memorable sayings like: Namaste, Sweet Dreams, Welcome, Shalom, Hello, Bon Appetit, Cheers, Seriously?, Peace, Dogs Welcome and lots more.
